    Hi! Thanks for checking out our GM in training position. We are looking for an outgoing team leader to help manage daily operations, oversee inventory, optimize profits, and ensure that guests enjoy their experience while maintaining a great workplace culture for team members. The ideal candidate is seeking long-term employment with growth potential.

    This position requires onsite management at the Laguna Niguel location with some admin duties required to be completed at our corporate office in San Clemente (some travel required).

    Essential Functions:

    Manage FOH staff and scheduling with support of current team members.

    Manage shifts and ensure coverage of shifts by performing duties yourself, if necessary

    Hire, supervise, develop, and terminate employees.

    Conduct orientation and oversee the training of new FOH employees.

    Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations through performance reviews.

    Delegate tasks to help the team grow; providing them with opportunities and exposure to demonstrate their capabilities for future roles.

    Set performance expectations, follow-up for results and hold the team accountable; provide coaching when needed and celebrate successes.

    Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for guests and employees.

    Assist with FOH ordering, inventory control, and equipment maintenance/inspections.

    Some travel required for bank runs and purchase of misc items such as office supplies

    Ensure:

    Compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.

    Consistent high quality food preparation and service.

    Proper training is completed in each department.

    That all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.

    Sanitary practices for safe food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health code regulations and company standards.

    Regular vendor checks/market research are being done to guarantee best pricing.

    Proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.

    A safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents; complete accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.

    Customer/Community Interaction:

    Adopt Sancho’s Tacos’ cultural values and train the team accordingly.

    Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.

    Maintain strong presence in local community.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 3 years in management position. Experience managing more than 1 restaurant location is a plus!

    Flexible schedule - our restaurants are open daily, which requires early mornings/evening/weekend/some holiday availability.

    Strong creative and analytical skills to consistently identify opportunities to drive sales.

    Proficient in developing operational framework, financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.), strong leadership/management/team building, food planning/preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.

    Outstanding track record of hiring and developing management.

    Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.

    Good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.

    Excellent work ethic, self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability, and drive to succeed.

    Ability to foster and promote a harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.

    Willingness to roll up sleeves and perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed.

    Must possess a valid drivers license.

    Must be eligible to work in the United States.

    ServSafe & TIPs certified required

    Microsoft Office proficient (preferred).
