  • Responsibilities

    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for disaster recovery and resilience efforts.
    • Conduct assessments and prepare reports to guide decision-making in disaster response and recovery projects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives align with organizational goals and FEMA guidelines.
    • Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage documentation and ensure transparency in planning processes.
    • Monitor and evaluate project performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
    • Support the preparation of determination memorandums and appeals related to project planning and execution.
    • Stay updated with FEMA training requirements, policies, and best practices.

    Requirements

    • Education & Experience:
      • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a field of expertise or
      • Graduate-level degree or professional registration with 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a field of expertise or
      • 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field without a degree.
    • Completion of the following FEMA training courses:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
      • 7117: Site Inspection
    • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and resilience practices.
    • Proficiency in project management and planning tools.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
