Position: Human Resources Director
Reports to: President
Employee Type: Full Time
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources activities for multi-state health clubs throughout the US. Core functions will include compliance, investigation, employee relations, recruitment, payroll, taxes, benefits, work comp and OSHA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer and oversee the administration of human resource programs.
Provide guidance and support to management across all locations and departments.
Lead and develop HR team and ensure effective operations and service.
Monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment law and regulations.
Oversight and development of Human Resource policies and initiatives.
Perform payroll processing for 6,000+ employees, including data entry and distribution.
Report and pay all payroll taxes in multiple states.
Benefits Administration including deep knowledge of Health Insurance & 401k plans.
Report and monitor all workers compensation.
Handle disciplinary action including investigations and documentation.
Immigration and Visa experience for hiring purposes.
Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practice for hiring.
Maintain and update all job descriptions.
Develop, report, and track appropriate HR metrics.
Process and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
Special projects and other assignments as requested.

Provide leadership, coaching and development to HR Team
Provide input in developing strategies to support goals and objectives
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or better plus 3+ years of recent HR Director experience
Detail oriented
High degree of personal discretion
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work well with others
Sufficient typing skills
Customer service oriented
