Job Description
Fraud Operations Back-End Claims Analyst is responsible for the timely review of fraud and/or dispute claims for issuing financial institutions. The Claims Analyst will assist customers with identifying fraudulent activity on their accounts by asking probing questions to attempt to identify unknown transactions, analyzing transaction details including customer spending patterns/behavior and assisting customers with filing a claim for fraud or merchant disputes. The Claims Analyst is also responsible for maintaining documentation for each inquiry and compliant with all governing regulations and institutional policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE
· 1-2 years experience with card fraud/dispute claims, chargeback processing
· Knowledge of Reg E and/or Reg Z covenants related to fraud and error disputes
· Working knowledge of credit and debit card processes, terminology and software
· Analyze/investigate banking transactional activities and consumer behavior
· Performed transaction reviews to identify fraudulent activity for signature, POS and PIN based claims
· Experience with Visa Resolve Online (VROL), Visa Claims Resolution (VCR) or Mastercard systems
· Familiar with Pega or similar workflow tools
· Familiarity with EMV mandate and liability determinations for fraud events
· Customer Service Experience – both verbal and written (chat rooms)
· Credit/Debit card product experience a plus (credit/debit transaction processing)

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
· High School Graduate or Equivalent, Bachelors Degree plus – (Criminal Justice major)
· 1-2 years similar work experience at a financial institution
