    JOB SUMMARY

The EMR Application Specialist will be Geode’s in-house electronic medical record (EMR) expert, helping design and build our Athenahealth platform from the ground up. As the EMR Specialist, you’ll own the system configuration and ongoing support program for Athena and integrated third parties that will drive our clinical and revenue cycle success. We are looking for someone with ~2-5 years experience who is excited to advance their career. Previous Athena experience is preferred, but not required.

In this position, you’ll work closely with Athena vendor representatives and Geode’s operations team to configure workflows for our initial Athena go-live, and then take a more independent role in building and supporting our providers as Geode grows.  You’ll assist with the development and delivery of EMR training to end-users for our initial practice go-lives and then transition this responsibility to the training team for subsequent go-lives. As an initial member of the Technology team, you’ll have the opportunity to coach and mentor others as the team expands, and there is opportunity for this position to grow commensurately with the organization.

The role is remote with your ideal location in Illinois, Texas, or North Carolina; ability to travel up to 20% is required for onsite trips to provider practices and to attend key Geode team meetings. The role reports to the Director of Provider Success.

Our ideal candidate has excellent problem solving and communication skills and is comfortable thinking both technically and creatively. Most importantly we’re looking to bring someone into our team that is excited about our mission to improve mental healthcare across the country.

Please include a cover letter in your application that tells us why you are interested in the role. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
