Job Description: Mid-Level Geologist
Our client is experiencing growth and is seeking a Mid-Level Geologist to join their Memphis office. Responsibilities:
- Prepare Work Plans, Environmental Site Assessment Reports, and Safety Plans.
- Coordinate and conduct site assessments, including the collection of groundwater, soil, surface water, and soil gas samples.
- Provide design support for small and large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination at sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
- Document field activities and write technical reports.
- Develop technical recommendations for site assessment and remedial activities.
- Assist with client management and relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in geology or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 3-10 years of relevant experience. (5 preferred).
- Possession or ability to obtain PG Certifications.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification.
- Experience with multi-media environmental sampling.
- Familiarity with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Experience with the TDEC VOAP program.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; consulting skills are preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
