Qualifications
- High school diploma, Technical certification, Associate’s degree, Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment (at work or elsewhere).
- Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory experience or a combination of lab experience and problem solving (at work or elsewhere).
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and operation
- Strong knowledge of geomechanical testing procedures and data analysis
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read system schematics and technical bulletins
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and creative problem solving
- Meticulous work ethic, attention to detail
- Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary, to ensure minimal down time of equipment
- Ready to work with a safety-first mindset, understanding safety and equipment procedures
- Relevant certifications in laboratory safety and equipment operation (preferred)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
