Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on stamping presses and associated equipment. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair of stamping presses and associated equipment. Install and set-up new equipment and fixtures as needed
Required Skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating when necessary, through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair. Issues may be mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on all plant equipment to ensure maximum productivity. Schedules may be directed by manufacturer's specifications or developed internally.
- Work with stamping operations to focus on improving productivity through the use of improvements in machines, materials, or processes.
- Install and troubleshoot any new equipment as directed.
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.
Required Experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- EDUCATION : High School diploma or general education certificate (GED) or Technical School, or five years related experience and / or training.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Broad knowledge of shop mathematics and electrical calculations.
- REASONING ABILITY: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions. Work with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and PLC Programming Software (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi Preferred). CAD and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software experience is a plus.
- CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician License preferred. Equivalent training and experience may be accepted. Must qualify in MiTek Lock-Out Tag-Out program and Forklift Certification. Other MiTek Certifications as required.
- OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic computer set-up and basic networking skills experience a plus. Basic welding skills (i.e. Mig, Arc, Cutting Torch, etc.) are a plus.
