    So, what will the Interstate Transfer Coordinator at Terrestris do?

    The ** Interstate Transfer Coordinator** __ role is critical in ensuring the seamless and efficient transfer of Soldiers—both enlisted personnel and commissioned officers—between states within the Army National Guard (ARNG). This position is based with the Georgia Army National Guard (GAARNG) and requires close collaboration with Enlisted Personnel Managers, Officer Personnel Managers, unit representatives, NCOICs across battalions and brigades, as well as other states, to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure accurate processing of interstate transfer requests.

    What does a typical day look like for a Interstate Transfer Coordinator?

    The Interstate Transfer Coordinator's day is dynamic. The role involves processing incoming interstate transfer requests, collaborating with various personnel managers and unit representatives to ensure smooth assignments, and verifying medical eligibility for incoming Soldiers. The role includes managing documentation, ensuring accurate uploads to iPERMS, and coordinating with separation authorities when necessary. Throughout the day, follow-up tasks are performed to confirm Soldiers have reported to their new assignments, and trend reports are prepared for leadership. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to Army regulations, and effective communication to facilitate seamless Soldier transitions.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    • In-depth knowledge of ARNG recruiting and retention operations, officer career management, and Army regulations regarding interstate transfers.
    • Proficiency in the use of personnel management systems and iPERMS.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and within prescribed deadlines.
    • Knowledge of medical and administrative policies governing interstate transfers within the ARNG.
