We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics and Operations Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in supply chain logistics, with a special focus on managing last-mile deliveries, some human resource responsibilities, customer experience, and other operational related cross department duties.

Key responsibilities that you will learn how to master, implement and execute:

• Learn how to collaborate with logistics partners and couriers to prioritize and track deliveries.
• Monitor delivery progress and address any issues that may arise.
• Learn how to assist in the efficient processing of orders, from order entry to fulfillment.
• Expedite orders as needed to meet tight delivery deadlines.
• Learn how to generate reports and provide insights to enhance logistics efficiency.
• Assist in managing and expediting last-mile orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Learn to communicate with customers regarding order status, tracking information, and any delivery delays.
• Assist in analyzing logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and delivery optimization.

Requirements:

• A sincere interest and curiosity on how delivery processes operate (amazon, door dash, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Enthusiasm for problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic logistics environment.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous coursework or experience in supply chain and logistics is a plus.

Gesture is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Internship compensation varies based on program type, academic level, and field experience:

• Early Opportunity Program (EOP): $700/Month-$900/Month
• Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP): $1600/Month-$2000/Month

Rates within each range are determined by your academic level (undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate) and relevant experience in the field. Specific compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
