  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Schedule glass batches to equally fill the Kanban based on demand. Schedule component batches to proper machines (Grids, glass, IGs) using the Glass On Demand program
    • Process the daily glass download
    • Create and process glass repair batches
    • Collaborate with Engineering or Shop Floor Technology groups to remedy issues with download information or hardware problems when they arise
    • Communicate with glass team leads and floaters throughout the day by radio for batch completion updates, schedule changes, line issues etc.
    • Communicate with Glass S.C. Planner and Glass/Screen Supervisors about issues throughout the day to strategize any scheduling changes needed
    • Investigate completion of IGs using IBM and SAGE programs
    • Help glass lines with reprinting of Batch sheets and IG labels
    • Relay all important notes to the second shift glass office EEs
    • Update the stock glass inventory level report
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Basic skills with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Notebook
    • Ability to work overtime when demand requires
    • Ability to communicate in English. Spanish and Creole a plus
    • Manufacturing and scheudling background preferred
    • Ability to learn computer programs used daily in the glass office
      • SAGE, WinIG, Glass On Demand, RemakeNOW, IBM (The Brain), FOREL
