    Job Description & Program Overview

    Our Global Markets business offers sales and trading services, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, and commodity and equity businesses. Global Markets product coverage includes securities and derivative products in both the primary and secondary markets.

    Global Credit and Special Situations (GCSS) trades and positions distressed and special situations in the following product areas: distressed debt (loans, bonds, mezzanine, and subordinated debt); distressed structured products; DIP and rescue financings; hard asset financings; non-performing loan portfolios; public and private equity; and vendor claims.

    GCSS is seeking first-year MBA students to join its team as desk analyst interns for a 10-week direct placement summer internship program. Roles and responsibilities may include:

    • Performing comprehensive analysis on special situations to support trading and positioning
    • Analysis focuses on detailed corporate going concern, liquidation, and recovery valuations; restructuring and bankruptcy analysis; and credit arbitrage strategy

    Desk analysts in GCSS will work closely with trading and sales professionals to provide investment ideas to distressed hedge fund clients. They do not publish research but interact significantly with clients.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates are required to be pursuing an MBA degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between December 2025 and June 2026
    • Candidates are required to have 2.5 years of prior work experience
    • Solid accounting, corporate finance, valuation, and credit skills gained through extensive experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, private equity, and debt or equity research
    • Strong financial modelling skills are required
