    Do you like to look at menus and read about food? Is researching second nature to you? If so, this might be the perfect contract position for you!

    Technomic provides restaurant industry clients around the globe with the research, insights and strategic consulting support they need to enhance their business strategies, decisions and results. Our services range from major research studies and management consulting to online databases and simple fact-finding assignments.

    Technomic is currently seeking part-time Global Menu Research Assistants in a remote capacity for applicants based in the United States who have an interest in tracking the latest food and beverage additions from large restaurant brands in markets around the world.

    Job responsibilities for this work-from-home position include researching and recording menu activity for leading restaurant chains in pre-determined countries. Ideal candidates will be adept at gathering information from company websites, news publications and social media, as well as fact checking and data entry into Excel templates.

    A computer with internet access, a few hours a month and a willingness to learn about new foods and beverages from various parts of the world round out ideal candidates for this role. Familiarity with and/or fluency in other languages will set candidates apart. Languages currently in need include Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean and Indonesian.

    Dedication to thorough research is a must.

    Qualifications

    Provide your own computer, Excel program (or equivalent) and internet connectivity in a private, secure environment

    Ability to work between 6 to 18 hours a month (depending on number of countries researched)

    Hourly pay $18

    Strong research, fact-checking and writing skills

    Expertise using the internet and social media platforms as a research tool

    Working knowledge of Excel

    Experience and/or an interest in the restaurant industry a plus

    Proficiency in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean or Indonesian
