    Job Description

    Global Systems Technologies,Inc. (GST) is looking for two Integrated Site Acceptance Test (ISAT) Technical Leads forthe Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Transportation Security Agency(TSA) ISAT program. Administered through the Integrated Site Acceptance Testing Support Services (ISATSS), the program’s mission is to provide support forAcceptance Test and Evaluation (T&E) services for systems designated forchecked baggage and checkpoint screening operations that are integrated withautomated conveyance systems (e.g. baggage handling systems, advanced screeninglanes).

    Information derived from this testing will support a numberof TSA programs and respective divisions including Acquisition and ProgramManagement (APM), Requirements & Capabilities Analysis Division (RCA),Checked Baggage Technology Division (CBTD) and the Checkpoint TechnologyDivision (CTD).

    Of the two ISAT Technical Leadsrequired for the ISAT project, one will be responsible for checkpoint ISATtesting and one for checked baggage testing.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The ISAT Technical Lead will:

    Assistsupervising the personnel on individual test teams and activities/procedureassociated with individual ISAT tests. Actas subject matter experts in the ISAT test and evaluation and data collection processesin either of the following areas:

    1. CHECKPOINT: A checkpoint ISAT is anintegrated site acceptance test process that is performed on an AT (2D X-ray)or CT (3D Computed Tomography) system that will be integrated with a baggage/binhandling or routing system (e.g. ASL) that has an automated divert point. An ISATis required to be performed after a completed installation and test of a new ATor CT is integrated with an ASL or possesses an automated diverter.
    2. CHECKED BAGGAGE: An Integrated SiteAcceptance Test (ISAT) is required to be performed after each major phase of amulti-phase project or at the end of construction for a completely new CheckedBaggage Inspection System (CBIS). The ISAT must be completed and successfullypassed prior to screening of live operational baggage.

    Write/reviewtest plans and test results documentation. Reviewdesign and specifications (or equivalent testing) for complex integratedsystems. To complete these tasks, the candidate must have an understanding ofProgrammable Logic Controllers. Ensurethat ISAT tests are performed and completed on schedule. Reportall progress to the Program Manager.

    Requirements

    • ACURRENT SECRET CLEARANCE (WITH ABILITY TO OBTAIN TOP SECRET IF REQUIRED)
    • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree isdesirable for this position.
    • 7+ years of experience writing/ reviewing test plans and test resultsdocumentation, and reviewing design and specifications (or equivalent testing)for complex integrated systems with an understanding of Programmable LogicControllers.

Our core capabilities include systems engineering; R&D in the domains of physics, chemistry, biology, electronics, and software; Test and Evaluation (T&E), Human Factors (HF) engineering, Configuration Management (CM), and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). . GST is the prime contractor for (among others) the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Services (PELSS-2) contract, supporting the fields of baggage screening, passenger screening, surveillance, air cargo/ intermodal security and technology integration. Under this contract, we interface with Government and international entities, equipment manufacturers, airports, and personnel from all modes of transportation. We provide liaison to the R&D community, report on emergent technologies, perform trade off studies, develop system architectures, and produce standards, specifications and requirements. GST also supports the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) at the W.J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ. Technical support ranges from lab management to research and development (R&D) on the detectable properties of explosives and other dangerous materials, new technology for explosive detection in passenger and cargo screening, testing and certification of explosive detection equipment.
