    Job Summary

    This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Strategy and Planning Team , which is focused on ensuring the Global Tech strategy is real and is realized. Specifically, the Operations Excellence team’s role is to ensure we run Tech like a business, focused on external brand building, operations, employee experience and culture development.

    The Manager, Operational Excellence (OpEx) will report to the Director, OpEx and will lead operational and communications activities for overall Global Tech and Strategy & Planning .

    • Owns the development and execution of comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, enabling high employee engagement across Global Technology
    • Develops effective communications that tell our Global Tech story across internal and external brand channels (organization engagement channels, social media, recruitment messaging, leadership communications, leadership LinkedIn etc)
    • Responsible for bringing innovative ways and tactics surrounding the Technology communications (seeking efficiencies, new insights and ultimately, effectiveness) and identifies and applies new, creative ways to reach and engage external audiences through content and other new online and offline approaches (e.g. video development, influencer outreach, etc).
    • Leads execution and planning efforts of key routines and engagement events that create awareness and advocacy of the Tech story and high employee engagement (including Town Halls, executive presentations)
    • Owns the activation and growth of our external Tech Blog, a key storytelling platform, which serves as a critical recruitment tool. Leads in bi-monthly Ed. Board meetings, editor-in-chief of content. Contribute stories.
    • Supports OpEx team on leadership communications for the Technology function.
    • Lead overall editorial calendar for function
    • Craft and ask for input for executive-level communications.
    • Supply prompt input to leadership scripts, narratives, talking points for key communications
    • Support materials for leadership meetings, conversations, and events
    • Partner with peer OpEx teams across Global Tech to ensure consistency.
    • Provide support to, Director OpEx, as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience with a variety of organizational practices, including operations management, human resources management, and leadership communications.
    • Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or similar roles.
    • Knowledge and ability to discover, design, and implement best practices.
    • Able to navigate complexity, various stakeholder needs, while delivering tangible outcomes.
    • Ability to work across diverse teams to enable change and establish operational cadences.
    • Solid understanding of business practices, organizational practices, and governance processes.
    • Experience building team culture and organizational culture.
    • 5-7 years’ experience working in business, technology, organizational effectiveness, organizational excellence, business process optimization, continuous improvement, or other related areas.
    • Comfortable working across local and international teams, on-site, hybrid, and virtual environments.
    • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
    • Able to show experience with or potential to learn Smartsheet and other digital tools.
    • Proficient in business process optimization, reviews, modeling, mapping, or process improvement.
    • Comfortable working with leadership, technology, human resource, operational, communications, and finance teams.
    • Ability to collaborate with technical team members, technical language, and offer translation towards general business or executive audiences.
    • Demonstrated combination of education and years of professional experience showing ability to work with senior leader teams, provide strategic recommendations, and implement action.
    • Capable of being structured and methodical, while also flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs, technology innovation, and organizational transformation.
