    Job Description

    The Strategy & Planning team is focused on strategy formulation and prioritization, strategic and operational planning, program management office, and vendor management efforts.

    The Manager, Project Management role reports to the Sr. Manager or Director role within the broader remit of the Program Management Office. This role leads and advises projects that are highly cross-functional and sophisticated using different development methods which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration.

    Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    • Handle project plans, roadmaps and execution to achieve the project goal using various development methods (i.e. Agile, Waterfall)
    • Collaborate with business partners on the creation, execution, and maintenance of Deployment/Testing and Activation project plans.
    • Handle project changes using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project on track.
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to supervise the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all partners.
    • Align collaborators and team members through clear communication of project status, achievements, risks, and issues through regular status reports and meetings.
    • Work to implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate risks.
    • Document risks, assumptions, and constraints demonstrating historical data and guide judgment in order to understand project limitations and seamless execution.
    • Support business partners objectives, such as facilitating and running meetings, creating meeting actions, coordinating and running group activities (e.g. whiteboards, working sessions, stand-ups), connecting them with other SMEs across functions to ensure alignment.
    • Leverage knowledge of and experience with the following:
    • Accountable for handling projects using various development methods (i.e. Waterfall, Agile) with moderate risk. Leads budget and advises activities of the project teams.
    • Executes vital charters, templates, tools and associated PMO artifacts depending on the project.
    • Leverage shared services on technology and market-activation delivery model and best practices.
    • Support and ensure the standardization of processes for implementing projects across all clients, in accordance with best practices related to the SDLC and ADLC.
    • Execute strategy for function.
    • Address difficult problems impacting a project; identify ways to improve business partner needs.

    The expected salary range for this role is $112,860-$143,900 per year.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience required, with a background in handling corporate and large-scale global projects.
    • Demonstrates as a deep Subject Matter Authority (SMA) in Project Management process and tools (e.g., Planview, MS Suite (i.e., Project, PowerPoint, Word), JIRA, Trello, or similar tools).
    • Experience communicating optimally with all organizational levels, both written and verbal.
    • Experience with software methodology development processes (i.e. ADLC, SDLC, Lean).
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines handling multiple key business priorities and stakeholders.
    • Experience using Jira and Confluence, demonstrating ticket progress and status to supervise project back to project plan. Understand & leverage McDonald’s Product Org’s ways of working (e.g. Program Increment planning)
    • Ability to help business partners navigate McDonald’s organization (e.g. helping the Implementation team navigate the McD Global Tech org)
    • Project budgeting/costing expertise.
    • Ability to tackle sophisticated problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Strong understanding of a variety of technology solutions.
    • Experienced with dev/ops principles.
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field required: Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred; Agile Certifications preferred (e.g. PSM, CSM, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred.
