The Senior Project Manager is accountable for developing, tracking and leading projects from initiation through close out. This position leads cross-functional teams responsible for defining project objectives, metrics, technical requirements, facilitating core team meetings, providing regular progress updates to senior leadership, managing project risks and determines the overall success of assigned projects. This position will be required to develop, utilize and maintain detailed schedules to deliver projects within scope, on time and on budget.

• Deliver projects from initiation through close out on time, on budget and in scope
• Effectively communicate complex project details to all stakeholders whether senior management or an individual contributor
• Lead project teams comprised of a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders without the benefit of direct management authority
• Design new and improve existing standardized Project Management Office (PMO) governance and workflow
• Create and review project artifacts for accuracy and compliance with existing project methods and procedures (ex. Project Charters, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Statements of Work (SOW), Change Requests, Earned Value Measurements, Risk Management Trackers, etc.)
• Coordinate project logistics such as meeting scheduling, budget tracking and other administrative tasks

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from credible university

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred, but not required

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) or Scrum Master certification highly desirable

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience managing projects (Healthcare/Biotechnology industry knowledge preferred, but not required)

• Proven track record of planning, coordinating and executing complex technical projects

• Ability to leverage a strong business acumen to tailor tactics that deliver big picture business goals and objectives

• Effective understanding and experience applying tools from of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

• Strong ability to use data to solve problems and adapt tactics to fit an ever-changing corporate landscape

• Expert in project planning (Microsoft Project)

• Expert in process design and mapping (Microsoft Visio)

• Intermediate to expert data management skills (Microsoft Excel and Tableau)
