Job Description

AECOM is seeking for a Grade V Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for our staff augmentation contract with the Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) in Fountain Valley, CA.

Job Summary

The candidate will be knowledgeable with SCADA/DCS/control systems, wastewater process, project commissioning, and construction coordination and work part-time on an as-needed basis at OC San's municipal wastewater treatment plant.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Pre-commissioning
• Facilitate review meeting between Operations and ABB. Collect comments from Ops, ensure that they are addressed by ABB.
• Commissioning
• Oversee bench testing by Tetra Tech and Rockwell.
• Close out punch list items entered by bench testers after confirming they have been addressed.
• Pre-deployment to production environment
• Plan and sequence HMI and PLC deployment.
• Help plan overall transition from CRISP to ABB.
• Act as main point of contact for Ops.
• Review procedures to be used by Ops (e.g., login procedure).
• Post-deployment to production
• Collect punch list items from Operations.
• Triage operator requests for changes.
• Close the loop with Ops as items are addressed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline and 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
