    Job Description

    Graduate Specialist Program in Project Engineering:

    The trainee position focuses on learning the daily work in the engineering department within Hagglunds and how our overall sales and service business operates. The program lasts for two years during which you will work in various departments in the United States, Sweden and abroad, with qualified tasks that provide both theoretical and practical preparation for your future specialist assignments. The program scheduling will be coordinated with the applicant and includes:

    • 3-4 rotations over an 18–24-month period: During your rotations, you will gain knowledge about the company and work within Project Engineering, R&D, and Production Assembly for the industrial hydraulics industry.
    • Mentorship: You will be assigned a personal mentor from our management team who will provide active support during your trainee period.

    • Build your network: Create valuable contacts through our trainee network and internal events, both within different departments in Sweden and with international colleagues from the Bosch group.
    • This role will use computer assisted design/drafting (CAD) equipment and software to develop designs.
    • Generate, amend, and verify assembly and detail fabrication drawings for Hagglunds Drive Units based on industry requirements/specifications and in accordance with department and company standards.
    • Prepare Bill of Materials and drawings of mechanical assemblies for quotation and final fabrication.
    • Make final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
    • Consolidate and standardize designs to facilitate cost effective production.
    • Coordinate with an international team to support globalized product development and production documentation.
    • Prepare and maintain electronic drawing packages for issuance by Purchasing to suppliers.
    • Prepare and issue Change Notices to document and release changes to production designs.
    • Responsible for converting existing production drawings to SolidWorks.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • We are looking for someone who has recently studied at a university or college or is completing their studies by the summer of 2025. You have a degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field of study. Even if you have worked for up to two years after graduation, you are welcome to apply.
    • Proficient CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar.
    • Understanding of machining and fabrication drafting standards.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite computer skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to approach problems using a systematic problem-solving method.
    • Self-motivated individual who is team oriented and possesses strong analytical capabilities.
    • Willingness to continue our sustainability and digitalization journey.
