    Granite Empire is looking for an experienced Shop Supervisor specializing in Granite, Quartz fabrication, or installation to oversee our production department. The supervisor will play a hands-on role, collaborating with the Cutting, Fabrication, Polishing, Quality Control, and Installation teams to ensure smooth operations and the timely delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fabrication processes, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team to meet production goals.

    Key Objectives for the Fabrication Supervisor

    Ensure Quality and Timely Product Delivery: The Shop Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the correct quantity and quality of granite products, meeting customer specifications. They must manage production schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

    Coordinate Production Departments for Optimal Workflow: The supervisor will oversee the Cutting, Fabrication, Polishing, Quality Control, and Installation departments, ensuring efficient operations and coordination. This requires strong leadership to improve overall production efficiency and streamline processes.

    Optimize Fabrication Costs and Budget Management: The supervisor will manage the fabrication budget, keeping an eye on expenses and looking for opportunities to reduce waste. They will implement cost-saving strategies that don’t compromise product quality, ensuring profitability.

    Recruit, Train, and Manage Staff Performance: The Fabrication Supervisor will play a crucial role in hiring, training, and guiding a talented team. They will monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues promptly. If necessary, they will take corrective actions, including managing redundancies.

    Facilitate Operational Meetings and Set Objectives: The supervisor will hold weekly meetings to review progress, set goals, and make adjustments to ensure the team meets production targets. These meetings foster open communication and provide opportunities for continuous improvement.

    Stone Manufacturing: Extensive experience in the cutting, fabrication, and installation of granite or quartz countertops.

    Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

    Client Relations: Strong focus on client satisfaction with effective communication and problem-solving skills.

    Budget Management: Skilled in managing costs and optimizing resource allocation to ensure production efficiency.

    Education and Experience

    Experience in stone manufacturing is required.

    A GED or high school diploma is preferred for administrative roles.

    Experience supervising a team of 5–10 employees is preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand and move around the production floor for extended periods.

    Capable of lifting and handling materials up to 50 pounds.

    Comfortable working in a noisy, physically demanding environment with exposure to dust and heavy machinery.
