Responsibilities: • Works with co-workers and customers with file transfers, design options, proofs, etc. • Inspects jobs for accuracy before sending them to the plotter or printer • Provides accurate proofs/renderings to clients in a timely manner • Ability to communicate and work with customers to create and deliver high quality, creative, and accurate proofs • Assists in the maintenance of all equipment including computers, plotters, and printers • Maintains accurate electronic and paper record of File Storage for all proofs/renderings • Works on different projects simultaneously • Establishes and maintains effective team relationships with all support departments • Operate large-format printing and finishing equipment. • Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning. • Measuring and calculating sign elements such as frames, surfaces, lettering and graphics • Helping run the printers and lamination of prints Qualifications: • Experience with multiple computer software is needed, specifically Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator and PhotoShop and rip software, including Flexi, Onyx preferred. • Strong PC skills and internet, publishing software, and sign production software skills • Previous experience as a graphic designer, sign-related computer operator, or in desktop publishing required, including an advanced level of experience using Adobe applications, • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa) • Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work • Able to sit and view a computer screen for long periods • Able to lift 50 or more pounds • Able to use light power equipment This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction • Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture • Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail Compensation: $23 -$27 hourly
