    Signs Now The Woodlands in The Woodlands, TX, US is seeking a talented Production Associate with 1+ years of experience in the sign industry to join our team. Our company prides itself on creating custom products to help our clients achieve their marketing goals. The Production side includes an understanding of substrates, large format equipment/laminator/plotter, and other methods of sign production from start to finish. A successful candidate will be capable of assisting with quotes and customer service as needed. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator would be a plus and given priority in hiring, but not required. This is a small business so flexibility of workflow and duties will be expected to accommodate orders. Your role will involve taking print-ready content and taking it through all the steps of the production process to ensure high-quality output. This position is in-person, Monday-Friday hours (no nights or weekends), and offers a competitive hourly wage range, depending upon experience. Responsibilities: • Operates laminator, large format printer, die cut machine • Cuts and paints substrates/MDO and posts for production • Cleans, maintains, and calibrates equipment • Follows workflow process • Works at a fast pace to meet production needs while maintaining quality standards • Continuously strives to learn and improve, attends trainings as required • Communicates effectively with production manager, sales, and coworkers • Understands color output expectations and ensures that the job is done right the first time • Takes initiative to jump in and get the job done • Performs finishing work on printed items • Installs signs and/or graphics when needed • Works independently on projects and assists with team needs • Adheres to safety standards, policies, and procedures • Maintains a clean and orderly workspace Qualifications: • Experience with printing and precision finishing on a large variety of substrates • Capable of laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications / Color management • One or more years related experience and/or training • Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions and correspondence. Ability to communicate information well in both written and verbal form on a one-to-one basis, to small groups/team, clients, coworkers, and management • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply skills to jobs to maximize the use of materials • Physical demands include the ability to lift substrate materials - sheets of MDO/wood, posts, etc. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 or more pounds Compensation: $19 - $22 hourly
