We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. Our ideal applicant has experience TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum, as well as experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools. You must be able to read blueprints or technical schematics. We expect our team members to have strong attention to detail in order to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.
1. Responsible to make sure that all parts are the correct size per the blueprint as evidenced by additional measuring and reading of the blueprint.
2. Welds product and verifies that all completed welds are acceptable for finishing as evidenced by minimal returns to the welding department to repair welds.
3. Designs and fabricates as needed due to engineering changes or incorrect fit of product as evidenced by supervisor's observation.
4. Repairs welds sent back from the finishing department as evidenced by the repaired product.
5. Required to use the protective ventilation equipment at each workstation as evidenced by the supervisor's observation and employee's daily use of the system.
6. Fills out inventory pull sheets for all product used as evidenced by the receipt of the sheets into the office with appropriate job numbers on all forms.
7. Deliver and distribute all welded materials to finishing as evidenced by the traveler.
8. Process job orders in a timely and accurate manner as evidenced by the completed traveler with appropriate job number.
9. Logs into the shop management computer system to allow for an accurate accounting of time spent on a particular job as evidenced by labor reports produced by the E2 system.
10. Responsible to clean up area at the end of each shift as evidenced by supervisor's observation.
11. Other duties as required by supervisor.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Knowledge of both TIG and MIG welding preferred. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. May require 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. A valid driver's license. Special Welding Certifications may be required.

9. Demonstrated ability to work in tight places.
10. Demonstrated ability to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds).
11. Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping.
12. Demonstrated ability to maintain proper attendance and punctuality standards.
13. Demonstrated ability to operate various types of welders. (Example: Mig, Tig, stick welding and spot welding on various types of metals.) **
