  • Responsibilities

    Private Greenwich family seeks an attentive, responsible, and energetic local live-out Nanny to provide childcare for two young children: ages 3 and 6. This is a full-time year-round position and will consist of a five-day workweek, Monday through Friday, roughly 12pm to 7pm each day, with the flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed and upon request. The family travels to the Hamptons during the summer (with a Summer Nanny) the Greenwich Nanny is needed very rarely during the months of July and August. The family seeks someone nurturing, communicative, and efficient to contribute to the congenial atmosphere of their home while working alongside a team of household staff including two live-in nannies. $75k + benefits.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Assisting in the daily care, play and nurturing of the children
    • Coordinating children’s daily activities; providing/supervising transportation both to and from lessons, appointments, and extracurricular activities, etc.
    • Provide a safe and clean environment for the children; light housekeeping, including tidying up, laundry, cleaning up after meals, etc.
    • Preparation of light and healthy meals for the children
    • Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaner, groceries, etc.
    • Traveling with the family to ensure seamless care of children
    • Additional Nanny responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the Principals

     

    Requirements

     

    • Strong command of English language; Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
    • Minimum 2+ years related experience working as a Nanny with a private family
    • Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work extended hours, overtime, and travel, as needed
    • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
    • Physically agile; able to keep up and swim with active children
    • Light healthy and fresh cooking for the children
    • Knowledge of general first aid and CPR
    • Valid Driver’s License is a major plus; clean driving record
    • Valid Passport with flexibility to travel with family as needed; both international and domestic
    • Must be comfortable working around pets
    • Legally able to work in the United States

    $75,000 per year
