    Job Description

    NBCUniversal is looking for a Grip Associate person to join our Set Lighting & Grip department as part of our Studio Operations team in Doraville, GA. In this role you will be responsible for pulling and receiving grip equipment orders for Television and Film productions.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Manage grip inventory records and movement
    • Test, stage, and check-in/out rental equipment
    • Assess equipment condition and check-in upon return; tag inventory requiring repairs
    • Maintain clean work areas, free of any hazardous conditions
    • Notify immediate supervisor or safety committee members of any unsafe condition or any injury or accident in the workplace
    • Coordinate with SL&G Manager and Rental Agents on day-to-day tasks
    • Assist peer warehouse workers and rental agents in resolving outstanding issues
    • Loading and unloading of trucks
    • Safely prepare/pack equipment for long distance shipping
    • Work directly with customers/crew
    • Identify process improvement opportunities
    • Operate forklift/lift trucks, as well as asses working conditions

    What You Must Have:

    • Experience in inventory tracking systems (i.e., RTPro)

    What Would Make You a Stand-out:

    • 3+ years of experience in production equipment rental process
    • Strong knowledge of motion picture and television production support services, including lighting and grip equipment, supplies, and personnel
    • Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs or more)
    • Ability to work in a team environment in a helpful and positive demeanor
    • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including executives, operational supervisors, and front-line crew.
    • Up to date forklift/lift truck certification
    • Flexibility to deal with varying priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Consistently exhibits a quest for excellence, striving to constantly improved and develop more efficient systems that produce an improved level of service
    • Strong background in asset management with the ability to ensure maximum utilization of assets across all productions

    Additional Requirements:

    • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
