Grocery Haulers Inc. is looking to hire a full time SAFETY AND RECRUITING SPECIALIST. This position will be one that completes a drivers experience on being hired at Grocery Haulers Inc. The ideal candidate will complete many of the recruiting functions; posting, screening, assisting with the hiring drivers and onboarding process. The position will also include various administrative functions within the Safety Department.

Position will be domiciled in Iselin, NJ and report to the Director of Safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively post and phone screen all potential new CDL-A drivers
• Pre-qualify and assist drivers with employment application when needed.
• Partnering with other members of the Safety Department and Operations, schedule drug testing & medical examinations, road tests, and assist with the orientation & new-hire training for new drivers.
• Ensure all the proper paperwork has been completed properly for the new hire driver and facilitate with any other on-boarding duties.
• Other special projects or duties, as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience communicating with truck drivers
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Qualification requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner; written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of detail.
• Spanish/English preferred.
• Microsoft Office a must
• Facebook, Indeed and Craig’s List experience
