    Responsibilities

    Pet Grooming Duties:

    Drive a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter van, equipped with advanced insulation, to scheduled appointments in the Hartford area.

    Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling, tailored to customer preferences and breed standards.

    Ensure pets’ safety and comfort using gentle handling and positive reinforcement techniques.

    Assess pets’ coat, skin, and overall well-being, communicating concerns to owners as needed.

    Educate pet owners on grooming techniques and recommend home-care products.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming van, sanitizing all tools and supplies.

    Schedule and manage appointments efficiently to maximize productivity.

    Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a friendly, professional manner.

    General Manager & Marketing Duties:

    Oversee day-to-day grooming operations, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.

    Train and mentor grooming staff to uphold company standards and customer service excellence.

    Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

    Manage social media accounts, create engaging content, and respond to customer inquiries.

    Coordinate local events, promotions, and community outreach efforts to enhance brand awareness.

    Track key performance metrics and client feedback to optimize business growth.

    Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and local pet businesses.

    Requirements

    A genuine love for animals!

    Proven grooming experience, including knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques.

    Valid grooming license for the service area (required).

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Ability to handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills for excellent customer service.

    Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.

    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

    Certification from a grooming school or similar qualification (preferred).

    Ability to lift up to 75 lbs or temporarily handle large dogs.

    Marketing or management experience is a plus.
