The Groundskeeper is required to have a good knowledge of horticulture and landscaping, as well as practical skills in using various groundskeeping tools and machinery. The groundskeeper actively participates in the cleanliness & maintenance of the physical condition of the entire grounds area while promoting tenant satisfaction. Our Groundskeeping team is very customer service driven, which creates a lasting influence on clients. Responsibilities: • Assists in all aspects of property groundskeeping, including preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance • Lawn Care and Maintenance • Regular mowing, watering, weeding, seeding, and aerating tee boxes, fairways, and greens to maintain a healthy and attractive appearance on the course • Cleaning and upkeep • Lead and participate in ground maintenance and upkeep • Removing litter, leaves, and debris from the grounds. This can include sweeping paths and clearing snow or ice in colder months • Walk properties daily • Responsible for maximizing curb appeal • Planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering trees, shrubs, and flowers. Tree removal and clean-up • Pest Control • Identify and treat plant diseases and pest infestations to keep the grounds healthy • Landscape Management • Installing and maintaining landscaping elements such as rock gardens, ponds, paths, and other features • Safety Measures • Ensuring that the grounds are safe for public use by checking for hazards and conducting repairs as needed, such as fixing walkways or securing loose branches • Equipment Maintenance • Responsible for operating and maintaining tools and equipment like lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and irrigation systems • Collaboration and Communication • Collaborating with other staff members, peers, or external contractors • Occasional interaction with residents or the public • Event Setup and Teardown • Assist with setting up outdoor events, such as placing decorations, setting up seating, or constructing stages, and taking them down afterward • Administrative Duties • Keeping records of maintenance schedules • Maintaining a consistent inventory of tools and supplies • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Requirements • 1+ years of related groundskeeping experience preferred • Working knowledge of all aspects of groundskeeping • OSHA/Safety Certifications preferred • Valid/Current driver’s license • Strong leadership and customer service orientation • Computer/Internet literate Physical Requirements • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces • Must be able to wear personal protective gear during the scheduled workday • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25/50/80 pounds regularly/occasionally Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
