Group Delta Consultants, Inc. is looking for an exceptional Geotechnical Staff Engineer with an emphasis in geotechnical construction to join our team in our Irvine office. What you'll do: - Be part of our geotechnical team on a variety of projects including educational facilities, private developments, and infrastructure improvements in a variety of markets. - Work in geotechnical construction-phase projects overseeing and coordinating work of field technicians/inspectors. - Organize and coordinate field tasks with other team members, client and subcontractor. - Perform engineering calculations, technical analysis, and report preparation and writing. - Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and explain work. - Other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned. What to bring: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a solid understanding and grasp of geotechnical concepts, Master's degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical experience is a plus; - Good communication and writing skills;Basic knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering; and - Working knowledge of software appropriate for the geotechnical engineering, such as gINT, SLIDE, LPile, and others is a plus. The right candidate will exhibit a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, competently communicate in both verbal and written form, solve complex solutions while thinking on one's feet and perform business development tasks, when needed.
