The Drop Lot Coordinator manages the movement of all yard and shuttle driver and oversees dock moves as assigned by customer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage trailer pulls from all locations (Empties, Raws and Pack Returns)
- Ensure computer entries are current
- Fill out shift reports
- Responsible for Driver Turnover, Equipment Maintenance (PM Services, Inspections), and Safety (Safety Training, Accident Reports, Random Drug).
- Check in all inbound/outbound trucks (inspection of all trailers, containers, and tankers) Timestamp all inbound and outbound paperwork
- Manage all inbound/outbound dock moves, as instructed
- Manage the coordination of the moves and delegate moves to the yard drivers Coordinate all mechanical/maintenance issues with Landair approved vendors and ensure substitute equipment in place as needed
- Manage off hours forklift maintenance
- Report all accidents immediately to the account manager and Landair Corporate Safety Manager
- Manage trailer inventory for both Landair and outside carriers
- Perform daily yard checks, annotating trailer number and locations, as well as proper location of unused trailer jacks and chocks
- Keep inventory for specific items that are needed daily.
- Front line for inbound security at the gate
- Safety/security checks in the yard
- Investigate situations where there are passengers present in inbound vehicles
- Secure gates when not in use
- Manage all outbound load paperwork
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage people effectively
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, TMW, and Outlook or other web-based and email-based programs
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically
- Ability to organize well and handle multiple projects required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0-3 Years' experience in an administrative capacity and/or relevant role
- AS400 and Red Prairie experience, a plus
- Transportation industry experience preferred

Pay Range: $19.23-$29.87/hour
Pay Grade: 6
