    Position: Guest Services Associate, American Freedom Museum
    Classification: Non-Exempt
    Status: part-time: 12-18 hours per month
    Work Schedule: 2-3 Saturdays per month from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; and special events as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 1+ years experience in a guest services role is preferred, but not required
    • Knowledge of and experience with relevant technology
    • Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding

    Position Summary:

    The person in this position will manage public aspects of the Museum operations such as the welcome desk, admission, and gift shop purchases. Primary working hours are 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on scheduled Saturdays. The Visitor Services Assistant will work both independently and collaboratively with other Museum staff to ensure a positive visitor experience, excellent customer service, and will provide support for Saturday special events when needed.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Possess and model a growing relationship with Christ and accept and uphold The Brook Hill School's Statement of Faith
    • Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into day-to-day duties
    • Take an active role in ensuring the school's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing pertinent information and commentary to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
    • Assist with all opening and closing responsibilities on scheduled Saturdays.
    • Operate Museum's audio/video systems.
    • Answer incoming phone calls and record detailed messages.
    • Establish, manage, and maintain a positive visitor experience including greeting visitors, taking admissions, and enforcing and communicating museum rules, restrictions, and guidelines.
    • Provide introduction information on the different galleries and outdoor exhibits, and direct visitors on how to walk through the Museum.
    • Manage the gift shop operations including cash handling and credit card transactions.
    • When needed, participate in special events and programs at the museum.
    • Work closely and communicate with onsite security team.
    • Improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities.
    • Occasional evening or weekend work required as it relates to the duties described
    • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor, the Head of School, or another designee of the Head of School
