  • Responsibilities

    I. Position Summary:

    The Guest Experience Crew Member reports directly to the Guest Services Coordinator. This position is responsible for greeting visitors to the Convention Center and ensuring accurate information is provided in a positive manner.

    II. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    • Welcomes on-site visitors entering the facility and directs people to the correct destination while ensuring CMCC policies and procedures and event-specific directives are followed.

    • Acknowledge and thank guests for visiting upon their departure.

    • Responsible for giving accurate event information, directions, and information to callers.

    • May be assigned to maintain coverage at the guest services desk during normal business hours and as scheduled on evenings and weekends

    • Communicate to employees via radio when appropriate.

    • Distribute lost and found items to the security department and redirect related inquiries appropriately.

    • May interact with all department heads, all employees, and external vendors.

    • Required to attend applicable organization training and meetings.

    • Keep guest services desk items organized and out of public view.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    III. Skills:

    • Excellent customer service and positive attitude.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

    • Must be able to interact with people from various backgrounds.

    • Must have patience and adaptability to changes.

    • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.

    IV. Education/Qualifications Required:

    • High School Diploma (or GED/High School Equivalent certificate) and at least one (1) year of relevant work experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
