    Job Description

    A Product Manager at the H&M Group is a visionary leader who guides new product ideas from initial concept to product launch and ensures full benefit realization. The Gift Card Experience Product Manager will shape the future direction of gifting at The H&M Group to achieve long term company objectives and our customer-centric product mission.

    OVERVIEW:

    You will develop and execute a comprehensive global gift card product strategy that drives profitable business performance and delivers a best-in-class customer experience. This includes defining the product development roadmap based on a deep understanding of global market / industry trends and customer insights.

    You will lead a cross-competent global product team to improve the H&M Groups’ gift card experience across different brands and different channels in 77 markets. This highly cross-functional role is a unique opportunity to deliver business and customer value using a breadth of competencies, including strategic thinking; operational execution; data-driven testing and analysis; product management; team leadership; vendor and stakeholder management. Key stakeholder partners include global business teams, engineering teams, local market teams, and other functional teams (eCommerce, Sales and Merchandising, Accounting).

    As a Product Manager, you are expected to have a “customer-first” mindset; deep business understanding; and an appreciation for technology. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to be successful in the role. Previous experience working with gift cards, consumer retail, e-commerce, and/or payments is a plus.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Develop and execute an end-to-end Global Gift Card product strategy, aligned with company goals and industry best practices to drive profitable business performance and a best-in-class customer experience.
    • Own the end-to-end gift card product lifecycle from ideation to execution and optimization. Accountability for benefit realization; operational efficiency; and achievement of gift card specific KPIs
    • Set ambitious and clear product mission, objectives, and key results (OKRs). Translate these into a prioritized roadmap and development backlog to achieve key results.  
    • Lead a cross-functional team including business experts, engineers, data analysts, and product designers to execute product strategy and deliver business growth and customer value
    • Champion gift cards internally to support business objectives. Build cross-functional partnerships with global, regional, local, and third-party stakeholders in an inclusive and efficient way.
    • Create commitment & understanding around the global and local gift card product strategies, objectives, goals, and milestones with different stakeholders (global, regional, local).
    • Maintain subject-matter expertise on the competitive gift card landscape, market trends, and customer insights and expectations to inform strategic priorities.
    • Work with regional and country-specific gift card teams to understand local product needs.

    MINIMUM CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience for the position. MBA preferred.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in consumer retail; e-commerce, gift cards, and/or payments.

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Capable of designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end product vision, strategy, roadmap and KPIs to maximize user adoption, business value, and effect realization.
    • Experience leading and inspiring a cross-functional development team to achieve the common mission.
    • Demonstrated experience leading a global team through transformation.
    • Ability to influence decision makers and manage stakeholders to understand, align, and achieve a product mission.
    • Strong stakeholder and change management skills within an international and diverse context.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with and manage internal and external partners, including strong contract negotiation skills.
    • Effective communication, written and verbal skills; ability to craft presentations tailored to different audiences
    • Proficiency using data and customer insights to prioritize product backlog against customer and business needs
    • Strong analytic skills and financial acumen to derive actionable business insights; craft business cases; and ROI-driven decisions
    • Ability to clearly express the connections between larger business goals and small backlog items for team members
    • Capable translating complex global strategies for relevance in local contexts.
    • Identify as a self-starter; ability to create structure from ambiguity; and manage/prioritize complex workstreams
    • Operate with a “test & learn” mindset and have a strong drive to develop current and innovative customer offerings
    • Functional knowledge of Lean-Agile Development and methodologies as well as Product Vision Creation and Product Roadmap Development and OKR methodologies a plus.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • This full-time position is based in the U.S, in Secaucus, New Jersey or Manhattan, New York in our Business Tech Product Hub.
    • This role reports to the Senior Product Manager of Customer Attraction Products within the Customer Product Domain.
