  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    General Summary: The main objective of the Ambassador role is to deliver meals, assist patient menu selection and cater to patient’s need in a timely fashion. In addition, the Ambassador acts as the representative of the Food and Nutrition Services.

    Job Duties-Essential Functions:

    1. Meal Time Preparation

    · Prepares all cold/hot items and condiments for meal times according to quantities as written on the “Daily Production List.”

    · Focuses on presentation of patient trays including meal accuracy, meal temperature and to ensure timely tray delivery.

    · Responsible for patient satisfaction during the shift for the assigned floors.

    1. Patient Menu Selection

    · Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.

    · Maintains hot food hot and cold food cold during meal delivery.

    · Responsible for meal accuracy and diet appropriateness while delivering patient trays.

    · Ensure all patient’s needs are catered during shift in between meal times.

    · Adheres to Facility’s Emergency Preparedness Program, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other mandatory programs in the Facility as appropriate.

    1. Organization

    · Maintains organization throughout the shift in the assigned floor.

    · Prioritize day appropriately according to assigned floor.

    1. Teamwork

    a. Assists other team members when necessary. Asks for help when necessary.

    b. Assists management in anyway conducive to the efficient operation of the food service department.

    1. Communication

    · Effectively communicates product and equipment issues to management in a timely manner.

    · Responsible for knowing schedule and checking out with management before leaving.

    Job Specifications:

    · Must be at least 18 years of age.

    · Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a company approved uniform.

    · Education: Minimum of high school degree or GED.

    · Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

    · Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping and bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

    NOTE: Attendance is an essential function for all positions at Culinary Nutrition Solutions.
