Overall Responsibility
Overall responsibility of general accounting for two HBS entities based in the US.
Specific Tasks
Procurement and Accounts Payable
Maintain the purchase orders and invoices in the Procurement Tool.
Handle the email requests sent to the AP generic mailbox.
Supervise the accounting subcontractor’s tasks.
Booking invoices
Managing the vendor master data
Prepare the payments in JP Morgan and D365.
Update the instalments in the Procurement area.
Prepare manual payments if necessary.
Account Receivables
Issue and book customer invoices following the Customer invoicing file.
Maintain the customer master data.
Ensure the cash collection.
Ensure the management of the fixed assets (bookings, depreciations, and inventory).
Oversee the control and accounting approval of the expense reports through Mobile Expense.
General Accounting
Checking the payroll bookings submitted by the accounting’s subcontractor.
Ensure the payroll and social reconciliations in collaboration with the provider.
Ensure both sub-ledgers and general ledgers are settled properly.
Booking the tax accruals and overseeing the calculations.
Monthly Closing
bank reconciliations
FA depreciations / FX adjustments batches
Monthly Direct Cash Flow in MIS
Project and Overhead accruals
Monthly reporting in HFM for the US entities.
Answering any questions from the shareholder.
Ensure that proper job documentation is up-to-date and available and organize absence’s coverage.
Ensure proper internal controls are in place and documented and verify that internal processes are followed by all departments. Organize internal training when required.
Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor / master’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/ certified accountant or Auditor
Overall Experience: Five years (minimum)
Proven working supervisory experience in the accounting or financial reporting function. (~two/three years)
Very good accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with IFRS9, IFRS15, and IFRS16 rules.
Strong computer skills (especially Excel and formulas), possibly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience working in an international environment would be an asset.
Audit experience would be an asset.
