Overview
The HR Administrator is a key role responsible for managing and scaling human resources functions to foster a positive, inclusive workplace. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. The HR Admin will also drive strategic HR initiatives to support employee engagement, retention, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations & Systems
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing HR processes, ensuring alignment with company values.
- Manage the HRIS (e.g., Rippling) and related technology platforms, ensuring accurate data and system optimization.
- Create and document HR processes and procedures, including offer letters, verification letters, and employee records.
- Maintain personnel files and ensure proper documentation for compliance.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards, providing regular reports on key metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement).
2. Benefits & Compensation Administration
- Administer benefits programs, including annual open enrollment and employee inquiries.
- Manage payroll processes, time and attendance tracking, and related inquiries.
- Support the development and maintenance of compensation structures and job architecture.
- Prepare and communicate total rewards statements and oversee compensation reviews.
- Own key benefits-related systems in Rippling, including Benefits Admin, Payroll, and ACA compliance.
3. Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies.
- Manage leave administration (e.g., parental leave, short-term disability) and workplace accommodations.
- Track required employee training and certifications to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a compliance calendar and audit HR practices regularly to mitigate risks.
4. Talent Management & Performance
- Collaborate with managers on talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies.
- Oversee performance review cycles and provide support for goal-setting and feedback processes.
- Develop and track Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed.
- Manage compensation bands and ensure equitable and transparent practices.
5. Employee Experience & Culture
- Lead initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, focusing on core values and inclusivity.
- Plan and execute culture-building events, meetings, and celebrations.
- Oversee recognition programs to highlight employee contributions and milestones.
- Partner with leadership to support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts.
- Maintain internal HR communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged.
6. Strategic HR Initiatives
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving the employee experience.
- Develop and deliver training programs to build skills and reinforce company values.
- Analyze HR data and trends to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience & Skills:
* 3–5 years of HR experience, with a focus on operations and administration.
* Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling) and ATS tools.
* Experience with benefits administration, payroll processes, and HR compliance.
* Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting.
* Excellent organizational and process management skills with a high attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on employee relations.
- Very Cool if you have:
* Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
* Familiarity with compensation program design and administration.
* Knowledge of DEI programs and initiatives.
Compensation and Location
For this part-time position, you can work from anywhere in the United States. The hourly rate for this role is $40/hour.
