The HR Assistant provides general support to the HR department and also supports the Agency Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:
- Schedules interviews for prospective employees
- Assists in Onboarding protocol for new employees including reference checks, CORI and OIG checks
- Enters new employee information and current employee changes into payroll and HR system as needed.
- Maintains human resources files.
- Works with CHRO and HR Generalist on other projects as needed
- Assists with arrangements for board and other special meetings; including preparation of materials and set up of refreshments.
- Attends Board and Executive Committee meetings; takes notes and prepares Secretary’s Report for distribution to the Board of Directors.
- Maintains and updates board reference and board orientation manuals and assists in orientation of new board members and the use of the reference material.
- Assists the Board of Directors with preparation of materials and scheduling of special meetings.
- Maintains the minutes of board meetings, reports of meetings and any other materials relevant to the Board of Directors.
- Works with confidential and sensitive material related to the Board of Directors, agency operations, personnel, and wage and salary information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- SHRM certification preferred
