    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Ensuring continual compliance with State and Local employment laws

    Assisting the Director of HR with Recruiting strategy and activity in accordance with State and Local Laws, as well as company standards

    Assist the Director of HR with Onboarding new employees, ensuring all onboarding documents are completed along with E-Verify,

    Assist the Director of HR with New Hire Orientation management and oversight, ensuring all required Safety Videos are completed, including but not limited to: Sexual Harassment Training, Workplace Violence Training, and any other relevant safety training

    Assist the Director of HR with Auditing and Tracking:

    Team Member Training and Development

    Time Cards and Meal Violations

    Promotions and Wage increases

    Serve as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with team members time resolution to their queries

    Assist the Director of HR in communicating to and training Management and Employees on company protocols

    Assist the Director of HR in Benefits Enrollment and communications

    Assist the Director of HR in completing EDD Unemployment Claims and Workers Compensations Claims timely and with accuracy

    Monitor and report employee feedback to the DHR

    Translate employee documents, emails, and other necessary information from English to Spanish and Spanish to English

    Maintain confidentiality with employee information and feedback where and when necessary

    Attend Weekly and Monthly Meetings with the DHR and/or Management Team as needed

    Create monthly and a yearly calendar filled with important dates; anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, meetings, reviews, and more

    Run errands as needed and requested

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    Bachelor's degree preferred

    Must be at least 18 years of age

    Minimum 1 year of experience working in HR Department, specifically around compliance

    SHRM-CP or PHR certifications preferred or in progress

    Familiar with Workers Compensation Claims and handling of such claims

    Sufficient knowledge of California Labor Law

    Familiar with EDD and Unemployment Insurance Claims

    Fluent in English & Spanish: reading, writing, and listening preferred)

    Effective communication skills in English & Spanish: verbal, written and listening preferred

    Quick Learner and able to multi-task, paying attention to detail

    Coachable, positive, and driven. Willing and able to work within a team to achieve the same purpose

    Demonstrates a strong work ethic, desire to grow & develop, and takes initiative

    Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and needs

    Willing to work overtime if and when necessary

    Familiar with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint), Restaurant365, and TOAST POS preferred
