Our current opening for an HR Associate/Paralegal is available now but won’t be for long! This Full Time, Non-Exempt position will be a part of the Fantastic Human Resources Department to provide assistance to our in-house Human Resource Consultants with supporting Engage PEO’s clients. The HR Associate/Paralegal will report directly to the Managing Paralegal/HR Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Interface with internal and external clients while supporting the HR consulting function professionally, efficiently, and timely. Collaborate internally and across departments to contribute to a high rate of client satisfaction and retention and prospect growth.
- Research and draft Handbooks, policies, HR templates, job descriptions, and legal documents (including routine affidavits and subpoena responses) ensuring accurate and timely assignments and communications. Prepare and respond to subpoenas, agency inquiries, and demands.
- Assist with Hotline calls, including Hotline Call Intake and investigation pre-screens; prepare summaries, serve as a witness to Investigations where necessary.
- Research and prepare information packages regarding state, federal, and local employment regulations. Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to HRCs.
- Support EPLI Claim administration, including preparing submissions, keeping database up-to-date, and tracking related invoicing.
- Conduct high-level Wage and Hour Audits by following process guidelines.
- Maintain CRM data points to support meaningful and accurate metrics through team data. Pull reports and/or data from CRM as requested.
- Responsible for diligently managing multiple competing priorities and deadline list.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with template library maintenance, organization, and updates
- Conduct audits of HR consulting functions as required
- Assist with training new Team Members as necessary
- Support Legal and HR teams with a wide range of matters
- This remote position must have reliable internet and a quiet interruption-free workspace for calls and meetings
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of one (1) year of HR or paralegal experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Experience assisting employment-related audits and drafting agency responses helpful
- Additional proficiency in another language preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR helpful but not required
- PEO or ASO experience preferred
- ClientSpace and PrismHR knowledge is a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The hourly range targeted for this position is listed below. You should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. Some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this salary range.
Hourly Rate Range: $23.08 - $26.44
