Talon Analytics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR & Benefits Specialist to support benefits administration and general HR functions. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in benefits management, employee support, and HR operations—an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or advance their HR career.
As an HR & Benefits Specialist, you will be partnering with Business Managers and Leadership teams to identify, develop and implement solutions across a range of HR activities including onboarding, benefits, workforce planning and performance management. You will be consulting with these leaders to assist in advancing the practices and initiatives within the business unit from an HR perspective. This role will see you providing a consultancy and advisory service to managers and employees on people issues and ensure adherence to policy, procedures, and statutory obligations in addition to focusing on business progress and improvement. This position will have responsibility for supporting interviewing, offer compilation, benefit enrollment, continuous contact with employees during the onboarding process, performance development management and overall HR support.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and general inquiries
● Support open enrollment by preparing materials and answering employee questions
● Maintain accurate benefits records and coordinate with insurance providers
● Process benefits-related paperwork, including leaves of absence (FMLA, disability, etc.).
● Respond to basic employee HR inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resources
● Assist with new hire onboarding, benefits orientation, and offboarding procedures
Desired Qualifications:
● Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
● Prior experience with benefits administration and insurance policies preferred
● Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn and navigate HR systems
● Excellent communication and people skills
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● 2-5+ years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or a related role
