HR Business Partner
Contract: 3 months
Seattle, WA (hybrid, willing to travel to other locations on occasion)
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit social enterprise in the Pacific Northwest, is looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner to lead strategic HR initiatives and cultivate a thriving workplace culture. This role encompasses employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, policy development, and workforce planning. As a trusted advisor to leadership, the HRBP provides expert guidance on complex HR matters, ensuring a seamless balance between business goals and employee well-being.

This role is a 3-month contract with potential for extension.
HR Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Provide HR guidance on policies, compliance, and employee relations, ensuring a fair and legally sound workplace.
- Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, retention, and change management.
- Lead investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Analyze HR trends and collaborate with business units to develop strategies and solutions.
- Support leadership development by coaching managers on people management skills.
- Work closely with management to improve workplace relationships, morale, and productivity.
- Identify and address training needs, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Develop job descriptions and ensure consistency in language and expectations.
- Partner with legal counsel when necessary to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with HR and external partners on community branding and talent pipelines.
HR Business Partner Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner, with a focus on resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Understanding and experience with all HR verticals.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and compliance regulations.
- SHRM or HRCI certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to occasionally travel to other offices (from Bellingham to Tacoma and infrequently to Spokane)
- Ability to pass a drug screen (they are a drug-free workplace)
Compensation: $40-53/hour
