Operations Administrative Coordinator (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Onsite 5 days a week. Maternity Leave Coverage through June 2025.
Summary
The Operations Administrative Coordinator will provide critical administrative and coordination support to the Burgaw Operations Team. This role focuses on daily operational reporting, tracking for the plant, and offering exceptional customer service while prioritizing multiple projects for various departments. The ideal candidate will assist in event planning, employee recruitment/retention tasks, and offer general administrative support to Managers and Supervisors to help achieve plant goals in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties
- Coordinate and support multiple projects, events, and activities for assigned teams and locations.
- Gather data from various sources to solve complex projects.
- Support internal and external teams with administrative needs, including hosting visitors and planning events.
- Assist HR Manager with recruiting processes, applicant scheduling, record-keeping, and orientation planning.
- Create and manage presentations, spreadsheets, flyers, and documents for the team.
- Organize meetings, prepare minutes, and facilitate internal committees and plant initiatives.
- Ensure all critical safety program permits are filed and maintain 100% compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate site visits, plant tours, and training events, ensuring compliance with security and safety guidelines.
- Track attendance, time-off data, and safety training compliance for hourly employees.
- Respond to customer (internal and external) requests professionally and in a timely manner.
- Update internal communications (emails, safety statistics, signage, job postings) and ensure they are current.
- Facilitate event logistics, including meal and supply requests for team events.
- Maintain required documentation for audits, training, plant meetings, and new hire orientations.
- Organize office tasks to streamline administrative duties and enhance team efficiency.
- Contribute to plant performance reporting and safety tracking.
- Assist in fostering a positive community image through social media, advertising, and company events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Technical Knowledge / Skills
- Proficiency with office management concepts and practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in software systems (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

Education / Experience
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in an office environment or related role is preferred.
