    Position Overview:

    The Human Resources Director, a cornerstone position in the organization, is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including compliance, employee onboarding, OSHA reporting, and handbook management. Reporting directly to the Head of HR with a dotted line to the CFO, this role creates and implements HR policies, manages HR staff, and oversees all employee-related initiatives from recruitment to exit interviews. The HR Director ensures that HR strategies align with overall business objectives, collaborates with headquarters staff to support employee engagement and retention, and maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic HR Management: Developing and implementing HR policies and programs that align with the organization's overall business objectives, ensuring that all HR initiatives support the company's strategic goals.

    Talent Acquisition and Development: Overseeing recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management, and employee development to attract and retain top talent within the organization.

    Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations, managing compliance issues, and mitigating risks associated with HR practices.

    Employee Relations and Engagement: Fostering a positive workplace culture by addressing employee grievances, promoting engagement initiatives, and enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.

    HR Operations and Budget Management: Managing the HR department's daily operations, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and performance metrics analysis to optimize HR functions.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Experience: 5+ years of HR experience with hands-on expertise in compliance, payroll, benefits administration, workers' compensation, OSHA reporting, performance management, and employee relations.

    Skills:

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive and confidential information.

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll, and benefits management.

    Proficiency in OSHA reporting and maintaining workplace safety standards.

    Experience with HRIS and payroll software systems.

    Certifications: PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred.
