    We are NOW HIRING for a Human Resources Director: A great candidate for this role will have a full understanding and hands on experience with all functions related to Human Resources

    The Human Resources Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This position should ensure that all companies across 20+ states are compliant with state, local, and federal employment laws, and work closely with other managers to ensure fair and adequate treatment of all employees that make up team JEFFRIES.

    Key Responsibilities: Legal Compliance

    Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    Administration:

    Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

    Recruiting:

    Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.

    Manage a small staff of internal recruiters and oversee third party recruiting.

    Organizational Health:

    Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

    Human Resources Management:

    Manage employee performance including onboarding, discipline, and termination.

    Ensure proper documentation of all formal employee performance management steps (write ups, reviews, termination reasons, etc.)

    Operate as one part of a larger Management team dedicated to employee retention and fair management practices.

    Team Management:

    Manage a small team of internal recruiters and a Human Resources Generalist. More staff will surely be added as the organization grows. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.

    Oversee the daily workflow of the department. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

    Necessary Experience and Skill Set:

    Willingness to adapt to the needs of the largest 24/7 damage restoration company in the SERVPRO system that provides emergency services to its customers across the entire country, and sometimes internationally too.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and attention to detail.

    Must have strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

    Strong supervisory and leadership skills

    Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    At least ten years of human resource management experience required, experience in California or Colorado specifically preferred.

    SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
