Position Overview:
The HR Generalist is responsible for the administration of HR related tasks and assisting employees with general HR and Benefit related questions.
**

Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate the candidate background screening.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Employee Relations:
- Assist with employee HR-related questions and investigations.
- Conduct exit interviews.
Performance Management:
- Assist in the administration of performance management programs.
- Track employee progress.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Assist with the coordination of the open enrollment processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Prepare and submit required reports related to HR activities and metrics.
Training and Development:
- Assist in creating and updating training materials.
HR Policies and Procedures:
- Maintain and update HR policy and procedure documents.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in HR, preferably as an HR Generalist.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
Exposure to both the office setting and food manufacturing facility.
- Significant amount of time working at a computer station
- Occasional visits to various areas of the manufacturing floor
- Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.
- Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, standing, or walking.
- Occasional ability to lift up to 20lbs.
- Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas.
