In this role, you'll dive into supporting the full spectrum of HR responsibilities—recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, engagement initiatives, training and development, and HR administration—all while helping us nourish everyday life.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll report to and partner closely with the People Operations Manager to deliver an excellent employee experience. As our People Operations Specialist, your work will directly impact our employees and company success. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Recruiting: Post job openings, partner with managers to identify candidates, correspond with candidates, conduct interviews, and hire the right talent for all roles.
Onboarding: Send offer letters, welcome messages, review background checks, and ensure new hires are ready to thrive from day one.
Employee Orientation: Conduct engaging new hire orientations to equip new employees with the tools, resources, and confidence to succeed.
HR Programming: Support day-to-day programming and contribute to initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Employee Relations: Build meaningful relationships across the organization and provide day-to-day support for employees at every level.
Technology and Automation: Simplify and improve processes by leveraging technology.
Strategic Projects: Collaborate with the People Team on company-wide projects that drive growth and engagement.
Customer Service: Approach employee support with a hospitality mindset, ensuring everyone feels heard and valued.
Uphold Our Values: Infuse our core values into every interaction, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and fun.
When You’ll Work:
Our People team has coordinated our workweeks to dynamically support our employee community with 7 day a week coverage, and the People Operations Specialist schedule will fall in with this as well, so we’re here when our teams need us most. Although there may be seasonal fluctuation according to business needs and the onboarding period, we expect this team member to work a Thursday-Monday workweek.
What You Bring:
Integrity: An expected behavior on the People team is to lead with integrity. Integrity is an essential prerequisite for supporting the often sensitive nature of our work and being trusted with the access we have to privileged information
Service Industry/Start Up Experience: Ideally in a fast-paced, growing company. If this experience is in HR specifically, that’s a plus.
Strong verbal and written Communication: In a recruiting capacity, your correspondence is representing our company, and internally, your prompt and clear communication demonstrates the brand of the People team.
Decision-Making: Confidence in making decisions independently.
Organization: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Tech Savvy: Experience using tools like Slack, time tracking software, management platforms, and HR apps, as not only will you use these everyday, but you’ll be assisting employees with navigating them.
