Scope of Position:
Assists with strategies for Impact 360’s Human Resources that supports the vision and mission of the organization. Responsible for managing employee data, maintaining HRIS databases, enforcing organization’s policies and best practices, and will partner with Impact 360 staff at all levels to provide an exceptionally high level of service via the HR function.
Reports to: Director, Human Resources and People Strategies
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists with enhancing the organization’s delivery of HR related services, which aligns with Impact 360’s strategic focus areas and core values. Provides first point of HR contact for Impact 360 staff by troubleshooting, researching solutions, and/or making referrals for timely resolutions.
- Manages and administers Impact 360’s policies, best practices, and procedures to ensure Impact 360’s culture supports a mission first, innovative, and flourishing environment for staff, students, and guests, i.e., recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, talent development, career pathing, retention, compensation, organizational design, records management, performance management, recognition, engagement, employee relations, HRIS, benefits, and compliance.
- Manages and assists with innovative people-related programs that promote employee and student recognition and engagement leading to a culture of staff care, empowerment, and feeling valued.
- Preserves employee data and maintains HRIS databases to provide accurate reporting and data analytics. Creates ad hoc reports to meet special needs. Assists with maintaining job documentation and job descriptions.
- Administers Workers’ Compensation and OSHA processes and filings, as well as assists with annual insurance renewals. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with People Leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conducts or acquires background checks, employment verifications, and reference check processes.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance requirements and educates and advises staff on required actions.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Provides relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational development related matters, including organizational analysis, strategy, structure, and key processes to support organizational needs.
- Interfaces with Lifeshape HR in coordinating shared services, i.e., payroll, benefits administration, and handbooks aligning as appropriate for delivery to Impact 360 employees.
Requirements:
- An evangelical believer practicing an active faith in a New Testament-based denomination and is in unreserved agreement with Impact 360’s Statement of Faith and Biblical Conduct and Lifestyle Standards. Must support the vision, values, philosophy, and community standards of Impact 360 Institute.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. SHRM-CP a plus. Strong foundation in human resources including knowledge of federal and state laws, and regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel preferred. Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint or Canva preferred.
- Effectively handle highly confidential information and simultaneously execute multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills including one-on-one conversations, small group facilitation and teambuilding, public speaking, and writing in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs. Demonstrated ability to solve strategic and interpersonal challenges bringing them to a successful resolution.
- Demonstrated skills in planning, organizational systems, recruitment strategies, and project and financial management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Advanced in organizing tasks, delegating, and achieving objectives.
- Superior skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to work independently and as a strong team player under time pressures without loss of poise, grace, or humor.
