    Position Overview

    Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Generalist/ Payroll Administrator will provide operational, technical, and administrative support in all things that impact our people. This role will hold an essential part in consistently executing the behind-the-scenes tasks related to Team Outsider’s unique Team Member Journey. They will provide direct support to our home office and on-site teams in the operational, technical, and administrative aspects of the people process, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and offboarding. A key responsibility of the HR Generalist/ Payroll Administrator role will be leading the bi-weekly payroll process. This individual can also expect to complete ad hoc tasks related to people operations directed by the People or Payroll team. All tasks are intended to be performed in a manner that aligns with Team Outsider's core values and culture of hospitality.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Perform administrative duties related to the people process including updating, organizing, and storing documents such as Job Descriptions, Offer Letters, Position Agreements, Performance Reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans.
    • Administer bi-weekly payroll.
    • Gather and authenticate timekeeping information for each team member and export payroll data across multiple systems.
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel to develop, manage, and revise biweekly payroll calculation forms, incorporating both hourly wages and incentive bonus programs.
    • Administer 401k contributions every two weeks through our external 401k platform.
    • Record biweekly payroll and 401k journal entry transactions in Quickbooks Online with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Prepare biweekly inter-company 401k invoices.
    • Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates, and schedule interviews.
    • Edit templates and organize notes from interview questions and case study assignments.
    • Provide systems access and support user experience within any of the technologies that team members use within the Applicant Tracking System and HRIS platforms.
    • Provide administrative support and coordination to deliver Team Outsider’s unique Team Member Journey at every point of interaction.
    • Support the onboarding and offboarding of each team member which includes carrying out both the administrative and operational steps to ensure compliance and systems access, as well as the cultural touchpoints that are set up to engage candidates and new team members.
    • Provide administrative support to the People Team and Numbers Team on items related to Workers Compensation, Unemployment Claims, Leave of Absences & Accommodations, Job Changes, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, etc.
    • Administer the quarterly Team Member NPS (Net Promoter Score) survey.
    • Support execution of bi-annual or quarterly performance reviews for each subset of team members.
    • Support the People Team with updating documented policies and capturing sign off for all team members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the People & Numbers team.

    Experience & Requirements

    • Must be highly organized & detail oriented
    • Must be skilled with systems and technology
    • Must have experience in processing payroll
    • Must be a strong problem solver and have a high degree of resourcefulness
    • Must be comfortable working autonomously in a remote work setting
    • Experience in People Operations
    • Human Resources Education or Certification and Payroll Certification is a plus
    • Excellent communication and written skills
