    Job Description

    POSITION : HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist

    REPORTS TO : Human Resources Manager

    POSITION CLASSIFICATION : Full Time – Salaried, Exempt

    POSITON DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: oversees payroll, supports staffing, employee relations, benefits, training, employment, and safety, compliance and will support the Human Resources Team executing the overall mission and vision of the company. This role carries out administrative work involving the human resources functions and maintains related records; develops and improves policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of HR and Operations.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :

    • Oversees payroll processes including weekly and semimonthly payrolls.
    • Provides Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual payroll/tax reports to Accounting and Finance team.
    • Administers leave of absences including, short-term disability, long-term disability and FMLA.
    • Manages annual compliance audits for the company including 401K Plan and assisting with Worker s Compensation and SOC audits.
    • Oversees Health Benefits Open Enrollment and monthly benefit enrollments for new hires and change requests.
    • Oversees Worker’s Compensation claims and OSHA logs. Pulls quarterly reports and OHSA data as needed.
    • Manages HRIS System, Performance Dashboard, and Reporting.
    • Submits accurate state and federal compliance survey data on regular basis.
    • Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company policies.
    • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually, maintains other records, reports, and longs to conform to EEO regulations.
    • Represents Sihl in community and company job fair events.
    • Participates in the Safety & Community committees and implements ideas to improve safety compliance.
    • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
    • Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.
    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS ** :**

    • Payroll experience a must (preferably UKG Ready knowledge)
    • Alignment with company mission, vision, and values
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
    • Strong work ethic with a great attitude
    • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
    • Must possess excellent oral, written, presentation and listing skills

    • Broad knowledge of safety, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and organizational planning
    • Technically sound in Human Resources fundamentals and best practices and the application of them in manufacturing operations
    • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.)

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
    • Minimum 4 years of Human Resources and Payroll experience
    • Experience with an HRIS database is preferred
    • Any HR Certifications will be a plus
    • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
