Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is a key role that reports directly to the COO. You will be responsible for supporting HR day to day operations including but not limited to the full employee life cycle, HRIS management and maintenance, payroll, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement and culture building. This is an onsite position in our headquarters in beautiful Pompano Beach, Fl.
Essential Job Functions
- Administers human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process (candidate sourcing, screening, qualifying, interviewing, offers, and follow up) for the direct hire of qualified candidates.
- Supports successful and efficient onboarding of all new hires.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Processes biweekly payroll.
- Assists managers in completion of annual performance appraisals.
- Coordinates employee events and employee engagement activities.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ yrs demonstrated background in a human resources/generalist capacity required; Talent Acquisition exposure is helpful.
- BA/BS degree Human Resources or related field; or a combination of related education and 5 + years of professional HR work experience in a similar environment.
- Active PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SCP certification highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of employment law and other governmental requirements related to HR.
- Demonstrated experience with in Talent Acquisition and recruitment, specifically targeting exempt candidates in social media.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Word, Excel, HRIS CoAdvantage or similar systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, research skills, with demonstrated critical thinking ability.
- Proven ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Superb communication skills, time management, and interpersonal skills.
